About ContourCost

GLP-1 medications and bariatric surgery are producing the largest cohort of people with significant loose skin in history. Almost none of them can find out what removing it should cost before they walk into a consultation.

The problem

Search “tummy tuck cost” and you get a professional body quoting a surgeon’s fee with the operating room left out, a dozen practice blogs citing that same figure, and aggregators recycling both. The number you are shown is routinely half of what you will pay, and nothing tells you which half.

Meanwhile the people who do know — the ones who have already had the surgery and have the invoice in a drawer — have nowhere useful to put that information.

What we do about it

Collect what people actually paid, itemised, and publish it with the add-ons included and the sample size stated. Keep other people’s published benchmarks clearly separate and labelled with what they cover. Suppress statistics we do not have the data to support, even when it makes the site look thin. The surgeon’s fee is not the price.

What we are not

Not a surgeon review site, not a referral service, and not a source of medical advice. Complication rates are quoted from published literature and cited, because they belong in the same conversation as price — but they describe populations, not you.
